Interesting Perspective on the Paucity of Thought!
The poverty of the American spirit is in no great roe right now...but it must be considered...The depression is not socially exclusive to the nation's people and general attitude towards our own condition. The paucity of thought is the number one contributer to the poverty of our nation's coffers as I see it! As a proud American of dubious heritage...for many African American's this has to do with the poverty we experience outside of the depression of our socio-political stance on this country's plight! This is formed in the braver interests of knowing who we are...when this is in question our thoughts are without a formulated foundation...and thus a paucity of thought...Our governing bodies care so little for our well being we have likewise given very little concern for our own well faring conditioning...
A friend of mine commented a few days ago about the plight of the victims of Katrina, and the condition of the African American population as the least of the priorities of the American government. This in fact creates the attitude of the people as a result of that neglect. Thus, further fomenting the imbalance in this warded sector of our American patriotism...We are still of the un-welcomed darker brother at the table of ole'lady liberty, as she is serving up the humbling of the seemingly endless over inflated apple pie... (made with apples picked by Mexican immigrants, in crust rolled by the African American hands, and baked in a pan made in China). Usually being served hot by a popular servant of color! In this conversation, my friend enumerated the reasons why the U.S. does not consider us as a fully viable voting public, primarily because we don't really take ourselves seriously, as a nation of people within the American protectorates. Between the lack of leadership in the home, community and popular culture at large we have lost our direction as a governing body over our own civility. These factors are due to the poverty in our thinking which has begun exuding the bounds of our home, community and populated city-states. There are many facets of our existence here that bespeak this paucity of thought...not the least of which is our own perception of our strength as a family, community and nation of states.
The major points we must consider as a people of a nation here were:
These are among a myriad of reasons why the paucity of thought amongst our nation of the people of color in America must be addressed as a matter of national emerging securities and popular socialization of a culture run am-muck, with a report as the entertainers of the world.
This discussion was tempered with my perception of the people who feel the way they do BECAUSE of the local, state and federal government's low regard for the priority of these citizens. The affirmative action of reversing racism is offered with the same hand that the welfare services are doled out within the communities that are triply defected by the crippling of as social stereotype of the foot shuffling "Yassir..." uncle Tom's that would never question the hand that feeds him the refuse of the dinners from the Casa Blanca!
The correction this issue could span many literary accomplishments, however, the primary course of action for the people is much like that of the nation itself, home training. This includes, but is not limited to, rearing our children with a sense of pride in themselves, their behavior, their appearance, the condition of our homes, the information we infuse into our daily life and lifetime of accomplishments It includes, the presentation of our character as believers in a righteous and set path...includes a creative process of thinking about our position on the world stage as more than the singing and dancing that pervades our cultural persona.
Home training and a viable and stable home environment. The basic principles are those of the strong nation builders. The strong survive. We are strong even as we have allowed our strengths to atrophy without any political or social practice as a whole...as a nation...the paucity of thought can be untaught... We can strengthen ourselves to the nation of builders we were once forced to be without credit of contribution....now our contribution is all we have since the credit of America is so poor... inattentive to our socioeconomic conditions. Mired in a paucity of social thought..
So speak up my nation...what are we capable of...
How are we going to regain the leadership of our nation and lift our selves from the quarters of poverty....were the paucity of thought is our chains on our own existence?

- People of color allow ourselves to indentured servants in a country we slaved to build in both wealth and power, revolted against to obliterate socio-political infrastructural -isms of the day, and now castrate ourselves morally to accept what a whore this lady liberty has become to everyone but us...
- Todays American youth, *(our future), can be capitulated into a charicature of itself...and unhealthy dumb fat gay creamy kid with his i-pod in one hand listening to the latest self-destructive brainwasher of the moment and the other hand outstretch to his big fat WASPy father who doles out unearned monies from his back pocket printing press...this is just for the well faring of the moment...believe me the kid will pay for this paucity work ethic as well...but the father will be no where around by then...either way the kid is only framing for the mess going on in the bedroom scene behind him *(issues of Katrina survivors' still treated like third world refugees expatriated, ungoverned and unchecked, Big Bank bail-outs slipping tax dollars out of the piggy bank, inflation about to burst all financial levies, only to have the toy soldiers warring on the floor vying for the taking of the room, only to become capitalism's version of an Autocracy but with corporations... Corporatism/Corporatocracy, and we just sadly stand by and eat candy, listen to the radio and cruise in gas inefficient SUV's...and have no say....no voice to the madness, not even a nod to the president who is playing an admirable game of hard ball in our name.
- Finally, the big mental impoverishment which seeks to remove our existence from tales of legacies of the America's, we are not making any concerted social efforts to create a place for the future generations that will come into the fold of experiencing their own blackness in any way...we are leaving them to discover the NWO on their own and with none of the advantages of the rules our parents taught us. Even as we thought we would never need these survival tactics...We are entering a critical period in time for the people but being deaf, dumb and blind is only good in court when it has nothing to do with anyone that matters to you....not in the face of the world organization of affairs amongst nations and nation states...and whether we realize it or not we are a nation state of being that is presently engulfed in a paucity of thought about our own existence!
- This is also countered by the type of education we allow to be infused into our culture. In these disconcerted efforts to keep up with the teaching of a cultural story that disregards our future, disrespects our legacy and disenfranchises us as the "real" Americans we are and likewise we reproduces this crippling paucity in our greater understanding of our role due to this "misinformation of the Negro."
